Samurai Sword YOSHIYUKI RYOMA SAKAMOTO style Katana
【Description】
Sakamoto Ryoma was the Samurai in the late Edo period who coordinated the anti-government force against Edo, which eventually led to the Edo regime’s destruction.Having studied martial arts and modern nationalism in several private schools, he established an anti-government party to replace the old regime. His rebellious political views might seem as though he wanted to benefit his party merely, but he was one of the first Samurai who enlightened people from the Samurai side of the country with new thoughts from the West. Many substantial issues were going on in the Edo government back in the day – such as conflicted diplomacy and corruption among Samurai and other authorities.
One of his best works in history was that he encouraged Satsuma and Choshu’s alliance, which had been politically the most influential provinces before Ryoma initiated it.In such years of the government’s catastrophe, Ryoma’s decision was essential to their protecting the nation from foreign threats.Yoshiyuki or Mutsunokami-Yoshiyuki was a swordsmith who is believed to have forged Ryoma’s favorite Katana. The original sword of his is now being preserved at Kyoto National Museum. This product features excellent reproduction of wavy Hamon, fittings that represent dragon and horse, and real stingray skin on its grip.

【Give the Replica Japanese Sword to Your Significant Other】
Are you looking for a unique gift for someone interested in Japanese culture?
We recommend you give them the replica Japanese sword as a present.
All our replica Japanese swords are great to display as they are precisely designed following the traditional Nihonto style.
Katana was the primary weapon of Samurai for a long time during the Samurai period. In Japanese culture, giving a sword to someone means to hope that the sword protects them from evil spirits and misfortune. Therefore, the Japanese sword still has its place in Japanese ceremonial events such as the Japanese wedding. The bride puts a Tanto(primarily known as Kaiken) under their belt, hoping that it protects them. Also, in the Shichigosan ceremony, people give a short Katana to their children wishing for their healthy growth.
