1, Shipping Forwarder
While we use EMS or FedEx to ship an authentic Japanese sword to another country, we will use a different forwarder for those who live in Australia. Due to the change in their regulations, EMS and FedEx can’t carry authentic Japanese swords to Australia anymore. Therefore, we started to ship an authentic Japanese sword to Australia via 20Cube. They offer a door-to-door shipping service from Japan to your address in Australia. The delivery time will be approximately 7-14 days, including the customs clearance process. 20Cube offers shipping service nationwide in Australia with the help of TNT, their business partner.
2, Additional Shipping Charge
The shipping cost of 20Cube is much more pricey than that of EMS or FedEx. Therefore, we will have to ask you to pay an additional shipping fee. The fee depends on where you live, but it will be approximately 600-700 AUD. If you place an order online first, we will charge you this fee via Stripe or PayPal later. If you like to pay for this additional fee and the sword you will purchase altogether, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We will issue an invoice that includes both prices to complete the transaction.
*We may have to increase the additional shipping cost, depending on the latest surcharge rate.
3, Package container
20Cube doesn’t allow us to use a PVC pipe, so we will use a wooden container instead to ship an authentic Japanese sword to Australia. It is still durable enough for secure delivery, in case you are wondering. We have shipped authentic Japanese swords in these wooden containers, and we haven’t had any troubles.
